About Me

I have a background in studying Psychology, which I was interested in from the moment I began learning about it. The concept that our past shapes us while continuing to influence us in many areas of life intrigued me. After completing my AA and BA in Psychology, I went on to earn my Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sonoma State University.

I offer both telehealth and in-person sessions.

My Approach

My work is primarily influenced by Attachment Theory and Internal Family Systems. My approach will vary based on each client’s unique needs and goals. Taking a trauma-informed view is important to me, and is something I continually strive to educate myself on.

Clients who choose to work with me want to understand parts of themselves better, who may not understand why they feel or behave a certain way. They want to see tangible, healthy change in their relationships with others and in how they view themselves. They may be in life transitions that have brought on anxiety or depression, or feeling old emotional pain from the past that feels difficult to cope with. I will often bring the focus to the client’s relationships in their life and with themself, because I believe a lot of healing can happen through connection with others and the self. I have completed Gottman Level 1 training.

I work with teens and adults, as well as couples. I enjoy working with increasing understanding of relationships and how the past may be currently influencing them, social and generalized anxiety, increasing self-esteem, managing panic, bettering communication skills, codependence, body and gender dysmorphia, and mood difficulties. I am also open to working with other issues, please contact me if you are curious about working on something else.

I am an LGBTQIA+ ally, gender-affirming, and happy to work with couples or people in relationships of any configuration.
